Sauk River Land Conserved Through Partnership

Skagit Land Trust and the Skagit River Systems Cooperative have protected 178 acres of dynamic Sauk riverfront, side channels, forest, wetlands and creeks, conserving vital salmon and elk habitat. The Salmon Recovery Funding Board awarded a grant to acquire this site for Chinook salmon habitat conservation. The Sauk-Suiattle Indian Tribe are now the stewards and owners of this property.
