SLT Hikes Sharpe Park with Jack Hartt

It was a perfect spring day at Sharpe Park this past Saturday when we had the privilege of joining Jack Hartt (former Deception Pass Park Director and coauthor of Hiking Close to Home) for a guided hike with stunning coastal views and wildflowers.

A huge thank you to Jack for sharing his time and his passion for exploring fascinating landscapes right in our backyard here in the Skagit. (If you haven’t checked out Jack’s great hiking blog, do yourself a favor and head over to www.skagitjack.com)!

Spring in Skagit County is really something else! We’re grateful to have helped the San Juan Preservation Trust and Skagit County facilitate conservation projects like Sharpe Park for generations of hikers to come.

SLT will be offering more on-the-land opportunities at our Lands We Love Social & fundraiser on Guemes Island June 6th: https://skagitlandtrust.org/event/lwl2026/

And stay tuned for a summer hike we’ll be planning for July!
