Conservation Story
Washington Eddy Conservation Area is one of nine properties transferred from The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to Skagit Land Trust in 2017. Together, these properties total 1,024 acres and expanded the lands managed by Skagit Land Trust by more than one third at the time of transfer.
Site History and Ecology
Washington Eddy Conservation Area is home to maturing forest, which provides priority habitat for Bald Eagles and rich salmon rearing habitat. Within Washington Eddy and the Skagit River. This property is also within the Northern Spotted Owl management zone.

Access
Although this Conservation Area is open to the public, it is only accessible via boat on the Skagit River or by traversing a steep slope.
How to Get There
Drive east on Hwy 20. After passing Rockport but just before passing the westernmost turn onto Conrad Road, pull over onto the frontage road / pullout on the south side of Hwy 20 and park. The property is south of this parking area, down the steep bank and across a back channel of the Skagit.
